Pissed (RANT)

Ok to say I'm pissed is an understatement...

My father and I just spent 3 hours in a 3km long traffic jam because of an accident that occurred at 3pm. However we joined the jam at 6pm...

There were 60+ police and trafic control officcers at teh scene LOOOKING!!!! at the mess that a truck made when its shipment of poles fell off and it rolled, the truck was hooked and ready to leave, but was being held back because they haven't decided if they should load it on the DAMAGED truck or WAIT for another one to arrive.

But they could have been sensable and move the poles OFF the freaking road and stack them their to await reloading. As there is a truck/bus stop 50 meters (~170 feet) away. But no they just held traffic of a four-lane highway up so they can LOOK at the mess. And more of them were arriving. I was joined in the shocked crowed asking the head officer this. When a group of Taxi drivers with angry pasangers walked up to us and asked the same questions. Funny thing was, that one was wearign a "Vote ANC" shirt, the officer in charged told him;

"Stop complaining, you voted ANC. Help your brothers out."

Everyone with sensabilty laughed and knew it was pointless to argue. HOW can you argue with such blanted evidence? Vote ANC South Africans, enjoy incompitence, corruption, sabotage, racism, opression oh and let's not forget the xenophobia.

Merry #%#$^ Holy Day you jackass officers at the N4-Baberton intercetion. Hope the truck that might have arrived by now hits a few of you stumps aswell as you seemed bored.

True, but I'm heading out to USA next year hopefully. I'm proud to be South African. But the way things are going with the ANC. I'll rather do my IT learnership abroad then waste it here.

Aag, the ANC isn't *so* horrible. I mean, compared to some political parties out there. o_0 Right now, Zuma is actually building roads, realising that crime exists and is his responsibility....we'll see how it goes after 2010, but it seems the new generation understands democracy. ;)

I'd consider you wrong I'm afriad. I work for a company and am directly involved with the BEE system as such I had to do research and report back to the boss. What I found is that we can not consider ourselves a democracy. And an ANC report even showed that over 60% of the population doesn't even fully grasp the role of a president let alone the purpose of voting. As for the road fixing. I am afriad it's for show. As the 38 Billion Rand backlog can prove. This is not even mentioning the some 365 Million Rand wasted just last month on political rallies which turned into nothing more than ANC funded parties.

Afriad if you bring up Politics it's a debate I'm well versed in.

Well, perhaps they don't understand at present, but the non-ANCYL part of the new, now-able-to-vote generation has a good idea I'm sure. Plus....it's an ANC report. =P If they are that corrupt, can you trust their data? ;)
Aag ja, the ANC has its parties, but at least they're not spending it on furthering commie ideas. Or trying to appease Russia/the Middle East/China/someone we don't particularly want messing around in our country.
For the road fixing - that's a pretty efficient, expensive show, if it is one. =P And what about the crime? Something is being done about that. Plus, Zuma is also saying, enough with racism (not necessarily enough with BEE, though :XD:) and going more for a class division, which I think is excellent.

Look, I'm not saying that the ANC *isn't* corrupt, or that the country doesn't *have* problems - it needs help, that's exactly the thing. But we're not really much worse off than America, what with Obama and his national-socialist bent and naïve ideals. ^^;
